10/22 Extractor dimensions

Talk about luck. I just launched the plunger trying to reassemble the ejector in my bolt. Still can't find it. :'(

Dimensions A: .555 B: .100 C: .062

Be advised that your sketch doesn't exactly match the actual ejector.

I may as well ask. Does anyone have the dimensions on the ejector spring plunger (10/22) diameters and length of each & overall. Thanks, Hog

Thanks for the quick reply. I need to make an extractor for an older .22 and looking at it I thought a 10/22 extractor might be close enough dimensionally to be a good starting point to make a replacement rather than starting with just a piece of metal and having to shape the whole thing.

What I have to make looks something like this:

The 10/22 would probably work if you removed the tapered part at the top and the tang/leg on the end so you'd have a straight flat surface on the bottom. The hole is for a pin I would guess?

Found the plunger. Did the ping pong routine, off a couple walls, an ammo box and wound up in a box under the reloading table. Sheesh. ::)

Been there did that.... one would think we would learn the "dynamics of springs", but I keep doing the same thing that you did. Those things have a mind of their own! Glad you found that elusive thing.

What kind of gun did it come out of in the first place? I would call gun parts corp or some of the others like bobs gunshop etc to get an original.

I've found that when working with small springs and parts that if I can get the parts and my hands inside a clear plastic bag I save a lot of time looking for stuff.

Jeff, Thanks for the tip. That is an excellent idea. I'll have to get some extra large freezer bags.
