One Shot- One Kill holding foot low and foot right
Yesterday was full of rifle activity. First a trip to Voldoc's MMR, Moonshine Mountain Range at Arcot , near Moss, near Celina in Clay County. Voldoc was comparing a newly acquired Vortex Razor to one of his NF scopes. Also conducting explosive test on V-max 87gr. Left 11:30 and met Anthony Hale at Jane's Pleasant Shade store for lunch, then on the the DOME. Anthony had a purchased a Nesika Model C formerly owned by John Kruzan. Also , Tracy White had a new purchase to zero scope on. Browning A-Bolt in 6.5 Creedmoor. Danny Huffines came in from Gainesboro with a Panda Dasher in a big heavy benchrest stock.
Highlight of my day , was when Anthony took the PPC to 600 yards. Wind went to zero and I told him to dial up maybe 16 or 18 minutes if he had that much in the Leupold 36X. He shot a really tight group and I told him to shoot the hostage taker. The PPC was grouping a foot high and a foot left. I told Anthony not to dial it in but to hold for it. I told him the exact spot to hold on the large plate. The hostage taker is a 5 inch disc that swings to the other side of the hostage's neck if you hit it. I told him the exact spot to hold a foot low, and a foot right. Pulled the trigger and the orange disc swung violently to the other side.
When I left the range after dark Shayne and Anthony were still there talking guns.
Another Best of Times at the DOME
