1 mile rifle match

A local shooter is setting up a 1 mile rifle match using a 18" x24" steel gong as a target. Can I use my 6 Dasher, mollied 105 Lapua Scenar @ 3140 fps, or my 6 BR, mollied 107 Sierra Mk @ 2825 fps ??
A friend say these loads will go subsonic well before they get to the target and start tumbling.
Should I stay home with these rifles?

JBM says, with the Dasher load, you'll be transsonic right around 1500 yards, at 500' altitude:

1500yds 1110.4 fps
-831.8" drop from 100yd zero

Donovan - I may be able to stretch out my 6 Dasher a little bit as I am shooting at an altitude of 5089 ft.
The scope I am using has the TMR reticle in it so that will give me an extra 18 moa of elevation.
I'll keep y'all informed.

Why not just see if you can hit the target just once and i will bet you will be happy you tried i have shot my 6mmBR at 600 yards zero'd at 150 yards an 8x56s Kahles scope with the thick cross hairs and 55gr Blitz Kings i just aimed up over the target on the mound at the same rock and just aimed off for wind and i got 7 V Bulls and 3 bulls eyes after getting my sighters i just could not be bothered loading for my target rifle and wanted to play Ps it is a rechambered 700 VLS with the barrel at 22" so the 55gr was doing 3400fps at the muzzle

My point is just try it it will not hurt even if you do miss the target i will bet you will enjoy the experience and next time you might be able to have sompthing that will gain you the extra few hundred yards.

I went out with my brother this morning to try 1 mile, actually 1780 yds, with my 6 Dasher,Krieger 30 1/2" HV, Kodiak action, Leupold 6.5-20x50mm LR with TMR and custom 20 moa rings / 105 mollied Lapua Scenar, RL-15, CCI 450 = 3140 fps). Temp = 14.5C, Wind = 2 to 16 mph from 40 degrees, Hum = 38.7%, Baro. Pres.= 29.53, Alt.= 4418 ft.
The target was a white box,16 1/2" x 23 1/2") with a 6"x6" orange square aiming mark. With the 20x scope I could see the orange center without any problem. My rifle is set up for F Class with a 300m zero so I put on 60 moa,4 rev's on the Leupold scope). The first shot was low and to the left. Using the TMR reticle I came up 1/4 mil and 1 mil to the right, the second shot was just to the left with good elevation. I held another 1/2 mil to the right and the 3rd bullet hit 3" from the center @ 10 o'clock with a nice round hole. The forth went to the left, as the wind died, but the fifth went 4" from the center @ 4 o'clock with a nice round hole again.
