1:14 22-250

That was our bullet of choice for a lot of years and many hogs. It is still top notch and tough to beat for varmint hunting. I too switched to the plastic tipped but wouldn't feel handicapped to go back to that flat base soft point.
Just add two clicks at 500 yards and sally forth!
 
Always had great groups from the old Sierra 55 grain SP bullet. Not modern, but shoots great in a 14 twist. I went to a 55 vmax for better BC, but lost a little accuracy. Best part is the SP is cheap too. Groundhogs do not approve.

My 1:14 twist 22-250 shoots it’s best with Sierra 63 Gr Semi Point. They work good in my 1:12 twist .223 as well. Not a high bc bullet by anyone’s standards, but it sure does shoot small and hits hard.
