S/N 859XXX built 1918, built at/by Springfield Armory.
1930 barrel. Muzzle gauges "2" headspace is perfect. Barrel is stamped SA-30 with flaming bomb.
Rifling is strong with a bright bore.
Black finish, minor rust at the muzzle end of barrel and on bayonet lug clamp.
03A3 bolt, matches black finish on rifle. Bolt is a Remington (I believe) .
Probably refinished after armory rebuild.
Rack stamp on wood stock. No cracks or damage to stock.
Butt plate is smooth.
Front sight is correct.
No "dorked" up screw heads or other damage I can find.
Own a real piece of history, this rifle is a good shooter & a nice one for the collection
$1200 cash (plus shipping FFL to FFL , we can discuss that) or pick up Northeast Indiana
