    RCBS

Ok...one last thought...are your decapping stems contacting the cases before they are completely inserted into the dies? Did that once with a set of dies and about drove myself crazy until I realized what was wrong. Felt like an idiot. Back your depriming pin out until it just knocks out the...

    RCBS

Uhhh...at a loss for words...never had an issue with RCBS dies in over 60 years of loading and countless calibers, and now the poster has all of these? Nothing makes sense. Have to drill the port on an Odin Works new 6.5 Grendel barrel, because they made it so small, it would not reload on his...

Praise for Good Value Gear is OK

Glad to hear a like mind. My own example is my venture into the world of FFP scopes. About three years ago I decided to try a Westhunter 6-24 X 50 FFP scope. I only paid $125, I believe, and it opened my eyes to a new concept. Optics as good as $1,000 + scopes? Doubt it. But I don't compete...

    Bulk 223 brass. Everglades?

Or.. Blue Collar , Powder Valley and Midway have new brass for decent pricing. Midway has good pricing right now on their Dogtown brass (supposedly Nosler) and Starline. I use a lot of Lake City myself, but as stated above, it takes some prep work.

    The correct tools?

Like with most things, there's usually more than one way to get there! Have a great day.

    The correct tools?

Done carefully , a blade type will also work. If I'm reading you right, you are seating the bullet, measuring the case, bullet combo and then deducting the diameter of the bullets...are you remembering to divide that result in half since you are measuring both sides of the neck at once in that...

Secret recipe for Speer Gold Dot's "short barrel" loads?

Hodgdon shows a +P load of 6.0 grains of CFE Pistol under a 140-grain bullet at 1,097 fps from a 7.7" barrel. Of course it would be a pretty severe velocity loss from your barrel...and probably a heck of a ball of fire!

    .17 Remington obsolete?

Yeah...don't let the local groundhogs and gophers hear that. It would only give them false hope. I still love my .17s and .223s for nice calm days of popping them out to 300 yards or so. Wind picks up or distance increases, my .22/250s and .243 get a workout.

    Definition of Tools (Humor)

In one of my former lives working for a telephone company, I teased the new warehouse supply person by asking for a quart of dial-tone fluid. He actually took four steps away from the order window before it hit him.

    Tumblers

Still using my old '80s era Lyman. I've used it pretty hard over the years and it's still running fine.

    Ignore list

I think there are some that don't really seem to understand the concept of "ignoring". It is simply a way for a single individual viewer not to be forced to see certain people's posts for any of several reasons. It is not "disrespectful" to the poster or forum since it affects only what that...

    Deadliest Cartridge Known to Man

Add a little Hoppe's mixed with bacon grease behind the ears and any real man is hooked beyond any help.

    Favorite Deburring tool (OD)?

Only shoot for pleasure and varmints, so maybe I'm not as critical of the process. Since I only need to worry about case neck de-burring when trimming cases, that's also when I check to see if the case-neck thickness has migrated during repeated loading cycles. I just chuck my brass (after...
