    I admit Ive left the tumbler go overnite cause i forgot it to. more than once - brass sure is nice and clean when you do that.:) they do have finer media you can get now that doesnt stick in the flash holes. cleans quick to- at least so far.

    i shoot the heck out of mine. when i get a new one they generally feed any junk ammo reliably until they dont. then i clean the heck out of them which helps but they still dont feed as reliable as new. ive done some of the utube fixes which havent helped much either. ill work on it a little...

    notice it says finish- stainless—. i think all ruger 10/22 have the aluminum receiver just different finishes. i went through this before with one that looked stainless but receiver wasnt. if u want all stainless check into it.

    i dont see that anywhere. i see it listed as a stainless steel finish. if they make an all stainless one i would like to know as id like one to.

    thanks JD— i did try that and basicly took the whole gun apart to try and fix it. i did find out the ejector is on the magazine with a backup one in the gun.

    ive got two of the carbine models—. the older one fed very reliably then one year it quit and was plagued by jams. have worked on it but cant figure out what to do to fix it. some people have had them for a long time but i wonder if they just wear out? all 22LR models have aluminum...

    that is a cool idea although there is the different size bolthead (bigger than 308?). i imagine it would be close enough to work with 308 base size.

    single stage is no problem, it’s progresives where the danger is and it could be no charge or double charge. if i load pistol on a progressive i look at the charge in every case. but it only takes missing one to cause problems. the charge indicators are the only way to go in my view.

    i had to get some factory loads when i wanted some 7x57 brass in the last year. some of them are available almost as cheap as the brass itself would be and are pretty decent quality. look around at the vendors.
