  1. Mac's muzzle brakes

I have 2, both on .223 bolt rifles. As any muzzle brake, it's loud, but it does help. I have no venting on the bottom, just the top and sides.
  2. Best Deer Cart?

I'm not a deer hunter any more but do use a game cart for prairie dogging. As mentioned before, larger wheels make it much easier to move around. If your in rough country, rocks, fallen limbs, trees, etc., the large wheels make it easier to go over obstacles. There are also an electronic game...
  3. Does anyone shoot P Dogs from a stand up tripod?

I think tripods are great, but if you have to practice with them before your hunt. When shooting a rifle or pistol, I zero them from the bench. When I know everything is working the way it should. I then switch over to the tripod. I like to shoot sitting from a fold chair or 3 legged stool...
  4. Bolt face

Is the bolt hard to close on an empty chamber? Clean the bolt face and matching area where it meets the bolt. Then put Dykem Steel Blue on the bolt face. If the bolt is touching the barrel, you will be able to easily see scratches on the bolt face where you applied the die.

  7. BEST HARD RIFLE CASE FOR FLYING

You're right. I couldn't find a true tracking tag for the off brand phones. This is all I could find; Is there a Samsung version of AirTags? The bottom line is while the Apple AirTag is a better device tracker, if you're on a Samsung Galaxy phone, you're stuck with the SmartTag+ and vice...
  8. BEST HARD RIFLE CASE FOR FLYING

True, but there are other air tags out there that work with the off brand phones as well. Google is your friend.
  9. BEST HARD RIFLE CASE FOR FLYING

Don't forget an Apple Air Tag. When I buy or sell a firearm, it has an air tag hidden in the case. If I buy a firearm, I send an air tag with payment and instructions for the air tag. Selling, I send a self addressed envelope with included paper work on the sale. The buyer drops it in the...
  10. Barrels for XP-100

I use a McGowen barrel in 20 VT on mine. Very accurate.
  11. Does anyone shoot P Dogs from a stand up tripod?

I use to use a rotating bench that I made myself. It was very stable and was great to shoot off of. I found if I'm going to stay in one place for several hours at a time or all day, the table is okay. However, a couple of years ago, I sold my table and went to the tripod. After a few shots...
  12. Small 20 cal project

The 20 VT is hard to beat. I use a 10 twist for 32 & 40 gr Vmax. When I first start out for the day, it is with a 17 HMR. Very accurate out to the distance you mentioned. With a suppressor, you can shoot a lot more before they go down. After they're down, I switch over the the 20 VT for...
  13. New place to shoot Pigeons

Police the area as often as you can. The landowner will appreciate you picking up your kill and not leaving them scattered about. When I hunted pigeons years back, I placed a trash bag in a 5 gallon bucket. All pigeons and some rats went in the bag. When I was done with the hunt, just tie off...
  14. Favored Cleaning Patches for .223s?

I started cutting my own several years ago. Get flannel from Jo Ann Fabrics along with a disk cutting tool. You can make them any size you want. I usually cut mine 1.125" square. This size works well for 223 & 6 mm. I have the material double over on itself and cut a strip. Then cut that...
  15. KRG Bravo Chassis

I have the KRG Bravo on my Savage 6BR. Very accurate rifle and the stock works well on shooting sticks. I plan on getting another one soon for my Tikka rifle.

  19. Another day of groundhog hunting.

Time to add coyote hunting to your repertoire.
  20. How does 6BR feed from repeating bolt action blind magazine?

I just completed my 6BR on a Savage model 10 action. I placed it in a KRG Bravo stock. On my other rifles, I always single feed while at the range. I plan on doing this with the 6BR as well. When hunting PD's, most of the time I single feed as well. Not really worried about a quick follow up...
