How good are mid 90's Winchester varmint rifles?
I've got one in .223. I was told by a person at the Winchester factory that some of the first ones used Schneider barrels. I don't know if mine is one of those or not, but it has one the smoothest bore finishes of any of my barrels, including customs, both by feel of the cleaning rods through it...- pauls

Ballistic Program Help
Can anyone tell me of a ballistic program, that in addition to all of the bullet drop and trajectory information, also tells you the number of scope turret clicks, such as the # of 1/4' clicks ) to correspond with the amount of bullet drop at the various ranges. Is 30.0 Varget the magic load?
Well, I hate to admit it, but I pulled the 30.3 Varget 105 Amax/ CCI 450 load straight off these pages, and it shot great in my factory Savage 6 BR fast twist. I haven't shot anything else in it, since the above load shoots so well ). It must be 'magic'.- pauls
