  1. My First hydroformed 6 Dashe case. how does it look?

Looks like you figured it out :)
  2. New Rifle / 6.5 or .308

Any particular reason a .243 Win is not in the mix? About 1/3 less recoil, less drop and faster for the distances you are working in, and still enough energy.
  3. My First hydroformed 6 Dashe case. how does it look?

Yes. For the most part, sizing only addressed the neck. Very little if any touch on the shoulder and body.
  4. Confused.....

The PMA Model B doe not have an adjuster. The only way to set the depth is to loosen the set screw for the cutting blade and then use a depth gauge.
  5. My First hydroformed 6 Dashe case. how does it look?

I would be concerned that you are going to blow out the shoulders - that thing has a ways to go yet. The first formed one on the left is the minimum I would go. The one on the far right is where you want to be.
  6. Confused.....

The question on wall thickness is the DESIRED wall thickness that the tool will come preset to. While the B saves you $60, it is really for those that use the same brass and the same chambers, and the amount of material needed to be removed on the first pass is not much. IMO, spend the extra...
  7. 6.5 savage barrel issue

Looked at this thread again and I keep coming back to headspace. There is no way you should have copper at the start of the lands like you have in the video, and the firecracking at the breach seems a bit excessive for 130 rounds. How is it to close the bolt - getting resistance as it is...
  8. Cleaning scope lens?

Also seems a bit excessive for a rifle scope. Photo lenses need to be spotless because of what you see in the photo, not necessarily what you see while taking the photo. No way I am putting that much effort into keeping a scope clean - would feel like I could never take it out of the house.
  9. Confused.....

It can be tough when people sell things and try to communicate what they did. Things get left out, people forget to check stuff, we don't always hear everything... Unless you are the one that fired and sized the brass, all the numbers you are working with are useless. As @rsmithsr50 said...
  10. 6.5 savage barrel issue

    They are pretty low.
  11. 6.5 savage barrel issue

If he threaded the barrel then it was taken off and put back on. Unless he created a witness mark it was not put back at the exact same headspace as it was when you dropped it off. You need to recheck your OGIVE dimensions as they have certainly moved. May or may not be the issue, but you do...
  12. 6.5 savage barrel issue

The cracking you see is NORMAL. It is where the first part of the barrel that gets flamed - there is a gap (depending on how much you trim) between the case mouth and that part of the barrel. It is also the part that the bullet is not touching when the round it chambered, although it may drag on...
  13. Pet peeves

    Nice.
  14. Pet peeves

Was going to put in my 2 cents but I am certain some don't know they do it. Taking the high road, for a change :D
  15. Building new reloading room in basement: Update 2/23

I don't have any problems with a 4' LED above my A&D. However, I keep my lights on a different circuit breaker and the scale goes to a conditioning UPS.
  16. Building new reloading room in basement: Update 2/23

Realized I need to edit my post but won't since it was quoted. Should have been "I wound not do recessed (can) lighting unless..."
  17. Bore scope videos in the Classified ads?

Yes. Had the Lyman for a couple of years. Currently have both the flex and rigid Teslong. Don't get me wrong, I think it is good to keep an eye on the barrel. However, I have been using them long enough that I have seen barrels that one would think would never hit the far side of a barn but shot...
  18. Velocity Drops with Powder Increase

    Some drop across nodes is normal, but I have only seen that large of a drop in a particular 308 barrel. These are from most most recent 6.5 Creedmoor load development. Only a small drop. 41.32767 41.9 2839 42.5 2855 42.6 2858 42.7 2876 42.8 2872 42.9 2875 43.0 2889
  19. Building new reloading room in basement: Update 2/23

I would do recessed (can) lighting unless you are looking to stack them tight. You will want a widest throw over the bench that you can get.
  20. New Peterson brass or form my 6.5 Creed brass?

I am not certain (don't run 6XC so I am looking at photos), but I think getting to the 6XC brass will need a bunch of trimming. Seems like a lot of work.
