  5. Scope moving in rings

    If you are going to use standard rings, liberally coat the inside of the rings w/rubber cement, I use Elmers. Mount the scope as usual. You will have excess that will squeeze out onto the scope tube. LEAVE IT until dry. It will peel right off. No more slippage or ring marks on your scope. LDS

    I dont see the need for heavy expensive hard cases unless you are flying. I traveled a 1K plus miles each way on PD trips w/18 to 20 scoped rifles in $20.00 soft cases.
