    Help finishing new wood stock

Bit too late for that. Has 80 rounds on it. The last 9 shots at 1060 yds (see target below) using two different powder charges, shot odd-even. But at least load development is done until the barrel settles in, Was going to shoot 80 more at the weekend match to get it there.

    Help finishing new wood stock

You have a good eye for stocks. Thanks for the advice. Gonna mull it over (and send a pic of the wetted stock).

    Help finishing new wood stock

Solid wood, but in 3 glued layers. Nicely figured. Cannot really capture the figuring since it's bare wood, but here's a shot.

    Help finishing new wood stock

New to the wood stock as I have been a die-hard Eliseo chassis user, but I had a beauty made and recently had it bedded, etc. Now looking to protect it. In a past life as a hobby, I built some furniture and have a very nice spray gun for clear, so I am going to jump in and do this myself. Not...

    Another ND Wind Beatdown

North Dakota's annual season opening LR match, the 5-Buckle Overshoe, was held yesterday. A 60-shot affair that very often dishes out some punishment. This year was no different. Here's the scores: Everyone seems to want to see scores that are not high, and more humbling (but rarely do we...

    Suppressor for F-Open Class

@KY_Windage makes some excellent points that I agree with. Others also make very good points with respect to FClass wrt suppressors, but for individual suppressors besides the Banish 30, I cannot agree or disagree on since I only own the Banish 30 and have used it only recently. What I can...

Nth Where Are the Primers Thread...

Scheels, a relatively big sports store chain in the upper MW, had CCI 450s, Fed 210 and CCI 209 last week in Fargo ND. 200 limit per family per day and a steady line of people buying them. Took 3 days to sell out. So they are out there. Patience. Drew

    Primer Motherload

Nice score, impressive. Happy for you. Edit: After looking at my post, in these days and times, I'm going to add: I'm sincere and not sarcastic Edit2: Now after looking at my edit, I feel like I need to also point out that I am sincere about being sincere...:) Drew

Concessions youre making due to primer availability

Getting on the ground. Historically, I've been too lazy to chase any primer that I dropped on the ground and follow it to the land of freshly dried socks, working pens, honest politicians and my reading glasses. Now I'm on all fours, sifting through saw dust and used primers chasing every...

Suppressor Ownership Process in the US?

I just finished up the process a few months ago. I had a fantastic and very easy experience with Silencer Central. They had a booth at a local gun show (while based out of SD, they travel widely and can sell in most states) and the process was about as painless as it could be. I knew almost...

    Neck Tension

I shoot primarily FTR (FClass). By accident, I discovered how critical neck tension is to accuracy pretty early in my reloading career. After powder, presuming you are in the right powder node, consistent neck tension is probably the second most important variable in accuracy to my findings...

    Primers arrived. Delivered cost was

The prices are really all over the map and seem a bit regional. About 3 weeks ago, I was in my local Fleet Farm and not only did they have CCI 200s, Fed 210s, and BR4s, the Feds WERE ON SALE from $4.99 to $3.99. There were several thousand of the 210s. I bought 900 for a friend and charged...

    Barrels 2020

This is my opinion and I am a relatively new shooter (when can I say I'm an old-hat?), so take this what it's worth. I've had barrels from many, but not all, of the major players. I've had about 30 of them, and been lucky as I have not burned one down yet, in about 10 different calibers...
