    Like to see a picture of the scratch marks for clarity. In the mean time, since it only appears in one rifle and from your description seems to start where the case tapers outward, do you have a scope mount screw protruding into the chamber? Have seen that twice - both times on high quality rifles!.

    Felt recoil between powders

    I'm guessing that your velocities were higher with your 4895 loads too. Pressure higher even though grains the same. All powders do not burn at the same rate or pressure curves.
