  1. Recentering a scope reticle

I stumbled across this video the other day and found it very helpful.
  2. 20 vartarg barrel length

My favorite 20 VT is built as a bolt action handgun with a 15" barrel. My 17 HMR and 20 Practical are also 15" barrels. Normally I shoot 300 yards or less with the 20 VT and 20 Practical with very good accuracy. I have shot steel with both at 400 yards, but nothing past this point. I also...
  3. Savage expertise please

I had this issue on a Savage I have. Got rid of the accu trigger and put in a JARD. Problem solved.
  4. Savage rebarrel.

Contact Brad at the Urbanrifleman or X-Caliber Barrels. I have 2 of Urbanrifleman barrels and one from X-Caliber, both are very accurate.
  5. Savage rebarrel.

Hunting, Paper or Steel shooting? Or one of the rifle games?
  6. AICS magazines

For a single shot sled on my MDT chassis, I use the Original Bob Sled. Original Bob Sled vs MK Machine For my bolt action rifle the Original Bob Sled fits really well. Shooting a .223 & 20 Practical I can feed the bullet from the left or right side and it drops right on top of the rails on...
  7. Bolt action pistol build

Tell me more about that Savage you're shooting, action, barrel length, etc..
  8. Bolt action pistol build

The 20 caliber is really nice. Very accurate, low recoil, flat shooting and with the 20 VT only around 18.5 (+-) grains of powder.
  9. Bolt action pistol build

When I finish up with my 20 Practical 110 PCS, I going to turn my attention to redoing my 20 VT to a 6 BR. Already have brass, dies and bolt. I have a 6 BR rifle that is really nice.
  10. Bob Sled 223 AI issues

When using the 308 mag, are you just sitting the round on top or putting in the mag?
  11. Looking for Dave Hoback -- Accu-Trigger Q

It might be easier to find him on the other forum. I think he reviews it on a regular basis. You can also send him a message if needed. I'm not a fan at all of the accutrigger. I've replaced mine with Timney and JARD. I have another JARD coming for a 110 PCS that I'm working on. JARD...
  12. Groundhogs payback.

    Caliber & Bullet?
  13. Berger 80.5 vs Hornady 80 gr ELD

Not sure what your use for the 80's are, but I tried out the Hornady 80 ELD-X. The X is for expand. These shot really well in my .223.
  14. Bolt action pistol build

As just mentioned, keep us posted. I'm getting ready to build my 3rd specialty pistol and have been looking at the left bolt Kauger as well. This LINK shows a Kauger action being used for a .22 creedmoor. He uses a right hand action since he's left handed. You might contact Ernie he's the...
  15. PTG custom actions

PTG is all about money and not customer service. Before I knew better, I ordered several products from them. They shipped one item at a time, extra shipping charges. That's because the items were not in stock. They told me one product was in stock and it would go out the following day. 3...
  16. steel media

I prefer the chips over the pins. The pins have a tendency to get stuck in flash holes or the case. Chips will not get stuck. I don't remember which chips I have used but they were very flat. Might have been from Ammo Brass.
  17. Anybody Shooting a Nosler Independence Handgun ?

Maybe Ernie will respond. I think he has one. I've heard nothing but good about the M48.
  18. Possible 204 Ruger Bolt Gun Build

    20 Practical - It's the easy button.
  19. Using spacers with suppressor to tune harmonics for accuracy

Some shooters have been using the Sharpshooter X-Ring Barrel Deresonator for many years. I would try this approach first before adding spacers.
  20. What 20 caliber ….

20 Practical This is the Easy Button for a 20 caliber rifle. Lots of information on the forums.
