  1. POST PICS OF YOUR PRS MATCH RIFLES

These are going to be different by next weekend... While they are both MPA Comp chassis, you can see the each has a different butt pad and grip. I am moving the gray chassis to a different action and going with an AI AX chassis. I also ordered up a lateral adjustable cheek piece and what is...
  2. Labradar and SAmsung bluetooth problems

I would not look to Samsung being the problem. My Google Pixel has the same problem. Going to give the latest FW a try (thanks @Davey Boy )
  3. Building new reloading room in basement: Update 2/23

For me, white walls would be too bright. Thinking sore eyes as they would never get a rest. I have 4' LED lights above the benches and tan walls. Its like a lighthouse inside so I can see what I am doing, but the mellow tone walls make it so the room is not intense.
  4. Cleaning scope lens?

I blow mine off with canned air then hit them with a lens wipe. Have not damaged one yet. May be skill, may be luck. I have the camera kit type stuff you are referring to. I don't use them on scopes because of all the dirt that gets stuck in the threads. I simply don't see how a brush or puff...
  5. Bore scope videos in the Classified ads?

IMO We are on the verge of creating FUD around what a good shooting barrel normally looks like. Give it a year or 2 and shooters will start to learn that their new, especially new factory, barrels have some horrible looking internals. New scope users will also go through a period of scrubbing...
  6. Adams v3 trickler question.

Makes sense, but you can also 'learn' what your pan weighs and just look at that number between charges. If the negative is wrong when the pan is not on the scale, hit stop, put the pan on, and zero it out.
  7. Adams v3 trickler question.

Not always true. Environment plays a large part. I leave mine on 24x7. It gets checked if it goes more than a week between uses or if it has been moved. I use it with an ASTM Class 1 weight. The absolute most it has ever moved since May of 2019 (when I purchased my last scale) is 0.002 grams...
  8. Adams v3 trickler question.

^^^ this. Even with the auto thrower attached, the thrower won't run unless the scale starts at zero but the trickler will run until it gets to the target weight. Example: Target weight is 40.0, put a pan with 38.0 grains on the scale, the trickler will run it up to 40.0.
  9. Cleaning Copper Fowling

Flitz and JB are advertised as non abrasive, but they do contain aluminum oxide which as far as I can tell is an abrasive. I have used them on plastic and over time you can see where they pulled material away. I think they say they are non abrasive because of how fine the material is - it is...
  10. Cleaning Copper Fowling

Butch's contains 1-3% Ammonium Hydroxide. Household ammonia is usually around 10%. You can use household ammonia, but you need to rewet it every 10 minutes or so to keep it from etching. EDIT: I would suspect that heavy copper fowling that requires something that strong also has a fair amount...
  11. Khales 525i FOV question

I have the K525i, MSR2, left hand windage. Picked it up late last year. The more I use it, the harder it is to get behind my other scopes. Enjoy!
  12. Borescope pics- anybody guess what this is?

For those that are the metallurgist type, what are the chances these blanks have air pockets or chemical imperfections/contamination that show up once reamed? I kind of doubt that blanks are x-rayed, it is seems plausible that they would have imperfections that cannot be seen from the outside.
  13. Best action wrench and barrel vise? (Panda)

PMA has their own brand and they sell the Viper. The only mechanical difference is the PMA allows you to hold thinner barrels. The Viper is supposed to non-marring. I have the Viper but still use leather strips. If you attach it to a block of wood you can lock it in your bench vise rather than...
  14. Khales 525i FOV question

You are not going to go wrong with any of the scopes you listed. Decide which reticles and dials you like better and go for it.
  15. Borescope pics- anybody guess what this is?

Unless you checked before you ever fired a shot, it may not be from you. I have seen pitting and such in NEW factory barrels from Savage, T/C, and Marlin.
  16. Sorting brass and bullets.

Guess I better since I never thought being that way since new and still having tight primer pockets would be an indication of expansion.
  17. Shooting without brake

Self timed brakes have a nut.
  18. Pressure issues or brass/die combination.

Pretty normal. If it had a noticeable slope I would be concerned. With that, the die could stand to be honed out a bit - more of a large chamber issue than a die issue, but honing is how you solve it.
  19. Shooting without brake

Sounds like it is self timing. If that is the case, you can also mess with turning it out 1/2 - 1 turn at a time and find the sweet spot. I listened to a interview with David Tubbs talking about it. Takes some work, but for me it was worth it.
  20. Sorting brass and bullets.

Here is a great example of why weighing brass is futile. Both of these cases are from the same batch, shot the same number of times, and always prepped the same way. I was just priming when the one on the left did not slip into the priming jaws on top of the Forester. Weight differences down...
