received some primers today. even at these “better” prices i was thinking for a second I should put them in the Safe as they cost more than many of the guns in there. my biggest primer buy ever dollar wise. Of coarse i wouldnt really put them in the safe. And Im not griping!! good side is they should last awhile. Thanks to everybody who reminded me to get them while the gettins good. even if i can someday buy primers at half these prices(doubt it) i will still be happy about it all

Haven’t bought any for awhile

What type did you purchase and delivered price ?

I still have 10K sealed case of REM 7.5s from 10 years ago

I store my stuff in a unheated/uncooled room at a stable 60*

Low humidity and stable temps are best

Maybe, sort of being on the side of being explosive. Powder is definitely a no go in a gun safe.

I have primers all over the place. Here, there, everywhere. I keep telling myself I need to get them all gathered up into one place. Every place they are located is acclimated.

My ‘practical self’ told me I can’t buy any more components until I shoot up at least half of what I have stocked. Any more stocking and the slab might break or house tip over...
overall i also have alot that needs shot up. i held off on the primers. till i really needed 2 do it. lol

the normal online suppliers have had fairly good deals lately along with breaks on shipping and or hazmat

I put the boxes in big ziplock freezer bags and keep them in climate controlled areas. I wouldn’t put them in my safe. There isn’t any room!
mabie you need a helper to unload some of the “stuff” ln the safe and store it for you:oops:

Primers don't go in the safe, nor does powder. I had the same thought at one point, and as friend with a lot more reloading experience (and formal training in explosives handling) put it:
"The military has a word for a bunch of explosives inside a metal shell. It starts with 'G' and ends with 'renade'."
