I got the same response...it seems odd that it has been out of stock as long as it has been. I suspect there is more to this story??Montana Extreme products out of stock everywhere.. I use the copper killer and its been out of stock for a while. I called them 3-4 weeks ago and was told the chemist had been out… anyone know whats going on?
Might have to fall back to the Bore Tech CU+2… Good stuff, non toxic and no smell..View attachment 1749673 fantastic stuff i use nothing else
I’ve got bottles of Barnes C-10, Boretech Eliminator and CU-4, KG 12, Hoppes,, the Montana Extreme Copper Killer wins it easily.. I patch out the loose carbon and then then let it soak.. then bronze brush let it site and opatch out… itll be close to clean then by borescope. I clean 2-4 times per week.,I use, Barnes C-10 for Copper ( Soak w/ Wet Patches First, then Bronze Brush, One more Patch to Dry THEN ,.. BoreTech Eliminator for, Carbon ( Soak Wet, 12-15 Min's ) then Dry then Oil and a Dry Patch or Two, Done.
I Drink Coffee / Watch the News for, 15 Min's between Solvents. NEVER, leave them In, any Longer !
My Rifles ARE Very accurate and Have "Cold Bore" Precision, after 2 Fouling Shots to, Dirty up, the Barrel.
I clean about every, 70-80 Shots.
That's Wonderful,.. IF, IF, IF,.. they still Make it,.. but the OP "You" said that, it was,.. UN-Obtainum so thought that, I'd offer up, the Next best choice ( Barnes C-10 and Sweets, Kill Copper, just Fine for, Most of Us )I’ve got bottles of Barnes C-10, Boretech Eliminator and CU-4, KG 12, Hoppes,, the Montana Extreme Copper Killer wins it easily.. It’s even worse when it comes to the clothes we like.I'm the market's kiss of death; everything I've ever liked, all I had to do is think it . . . the next thing you know, it's off the market. Just go to the next Mom & Pop gun show where they have all those table of everything under the sun, and sure as hell you'll find some Sweets, Johnson's Past Wax, Clove Gum . . . you know, the GOOD stuff
You bet, and NEVER leave Sweets in your barrel for more than 15 minutes {ammonia based solvent which Montana Extreme is as well} and be sure to lightly oil bore before storing otherwise it may look like you used corrosive ammo in it…And Sweet's is less expensive than Montana Extreme. Just make sure you get it all out of your barrel BEFORE you apply carbon solvent.
Sure is weird. In other words they have one chemist, he developed the formula. And he also fills the bottles?I called them 3-4 weeks ago and was told the chemist had been out…
Yes, I will be going back to the C-10.. I am not sure why I switched away from it… I do like the strong stuff..That's Wonderful,.. Without a doubt the best container in the industry but I never thought it was a fantastic copper cleaner
Had to laugh at that one.Sure is weird. In other words they have one chemist, he developed the formula. And he also fills the bottles?
