I’ve been mentioning the Hunger Games comparison for a few years. I’m glad someone else is seeing it, too.
My mother’s family barely escaped Russia and the Communists. I grew up hearing the stories. My father and grandfather told me stories of the depression and WWII.
What’s happening in our country makes me sick. It looks just like the beginnings of the Communist take over in Russia.
I see most of the “protesting” (rioting and lawlessness) being perpetrated by the Left. When somebody gets hurt, they blame it on the Officers they’re attacking and double their fervor as if they’re the victims.

Seems like you and me are often on the same page Josh. It kind of scares me.
I think our country is getting to a point where the “elected Sheriff“ thing is becoming more and more important. In most of us western blue states 80% of the counties reside in red territory. The blue part of the state seems like some kind of bizarre foreign country to us, and we in fact don’t really live by their rules. Our county sheriff pretty much calls the shots on what gets enforced and what doesn’t.
Most of our Oregon sheriffs have already said they won’t enforce the crazy gun crap that the state legislature is passing. Things are definitely going to get interesting. jd

Virginia too. The newly elected democratic governor and legislature is proposing an 11% tax on most everything gun related. I see it on all the gun sites I frequent and shake my head when I see gun owners support any Democrat.
And I agree because here in NYS our rights have been under attack for decades but I hear….how can you live there, especially from one guy from New Mexico, well surprise his “ our democrats are different” blew up in their faces.
