Anyone like racing?

409 Nationals at Dragway 42 in West Salem, Ohio this weekend. 19 cars. Winner, Val Mc Combs runner-up the Handsome Dude. She is quite the competitor as anyone that lines up against her will tell you. Great Gal. Don't let that smile fool you, she's good. Her husband is legally blind and actually does a lot on the car. Great people IMG_20250714_080107.jpgIMG_20250713_144225.jpg

I know this ain't classified, ... but I got this thing that I have no need for.

WHIPPLE W140AX - 2.3 L Suitable for up to/and including a 6.2L V-8

Took this in on a trade and have no need/use for it.

New, never installed, ... top unit only.

Make me an offer that I can't refuse!

I hate to use the words bucket list. And I wish it wasn't so far away, and probably pretty expensive to get there and back, but the Isle of Man TT race would be an awesome race to see. Completely fearless racers. Maybe one day. Till then just watch the highlights on YouTube.

You are right about fearless at the Isle of Mann. Sometimes spectators die with the bike riders too. Friggin' intense bike race.

The Isle Of Mann TT (Tourist Trophy) race started in 1907 although other forms of racing started in 1904.
the course is 37.73 miles long and has 218 turns/curves. It is run on public roads.

A very challenging course which has had many fatalities since its inception. It is an event that is on the bucket list of many motorcyclist including myself. As a spectator that is.

I would love to make just one lap. Would I be competive? Only in my head. Got my wife to watch some videos of with me, she declared "Those guys are nuts! You would fit right in with them." But dirt bikes and rodeos in the 80's broke me down enough that I will have to settle as a spectator.
