I'd be careful there, if I'm not mistaken Garmin has a manufacturing facility in China and Taiwan.
Is everbody 100% sure the Garmin chrono is made in the U.S. couldn't tell you dont own one still use my Labradar.
Is atholon made in the states... or assembled here.

Minus 2 for Garmin. I have 2 products with "lifetime updates" every time I try it I get a "we're having problems", try again later.....
I have a love hate relationship with Garmin going back to the 90’s when we all got our first GPS’s. Updates and software glitches have been there from day one and continue today. Same goes for my modern cycling computer. Sometimes I absolutely hate the thing but when it’s working right it’s an awesome tool. So frustrating!

What i can tell you is i bought one of there 5x25 250.00 scopes figuring WTH and put it on my 20BRA, pretty impressive. Now will it track or hold up to a high recoil gun but first time out i can't biotch.
I've used a Kowa 502 straight for years, wanted an angled one sometimes, a young fellow brought an Argos spoter an ELR22 match, most folks were very surprised,it spotted 22lr impacts on 400m plates, some fanboys got a little pissy. I purchased an Athlon Ares angled spotter from Cameraland per Doug suggestion.Great spotter, tad better than the 502, but heavier.

IME, the best front rest in the world is made in the USA but the most popular rest is made overseas. Both have similar price points. Not knocking either...
Just the irony, is all I'm trying to highlight. Personally, I much prefer to buy American when possible but it's not always feasible. This post has zero to do with the quality of the imported rest. We buy what we buy for our own reasons at times, but experience trumps opinion and when all else is equal, buying American is how I like to do things, again, when feasible. It appears that neither of the units being discussed are made domestically and that's the real problem, IMHO.

Could the prices come down on tech stuff? I don't see why not, they say it cost $10 to make the best new mobile phones.

If my Garmin was lost tomorrow I would have another by sundown
It is one of if not the best piece of shooting equipment I have purchased
Buying it we all knew that a knockoff was sure to follow
I hope they wind up at $99 one day--they Should!
It should......after all, that is where PRIMERS ended up!! :D
