I have a new DS that is stripping brass
I polished a little with 1000 grit. It got a little better. Am I missing something?
or just needs a bit more polishing

I've had that swipe on brass that sticks for a second to the chamber walls after firing. Similar to a clicker but not as bad.

wondered if I had something like this going on.
I can pull the barrel off stick it back in the lathe and hit it with some Emory paper
I do that just a little as a practice anyway. So this chamber was touched a bit with Emory paper on a wooden dowel already

Wouldn't hurt to touch it up again. I use 600 grit when polishing after chambering. Hard to tell from your pictures but it does look like it's happening on extraction. Right bolt?

If it does not do it with Lapua, I would be questioning the brass. I have shot some Alpha in the high node without issues. I will put three new pieces of my Alpha in the mail for you today. sorry for the delay.

Bolt face looks rougher then a country road. After knocking off
the burrs, also lightly polish the full face a bit. And my experience
with just one lot of Alpha brass, I found it to be softer then the
Norma brass I use.
