Any results: Attebury?

Brandon Green took a nice lead today. He is down 2 points.

120 or so competitors AND they had a whole whopping ONE team that fired the Whistler Boy Team Match. Awesome work by the NRA.

What one team in Whistler Boy match- California Grizzlies or ISRA HardDogs?? No results on NRA link. Thanks, Steve Zagrodnik

No clue as to what the team was or where they were from. A man posted on Facebook that there was simply ONE junior team that fired.

To put this into perspective, there were 37 teams entered in 2016, the last year at Camp Perry. There were FOUR teams that entered last year, the first year that NRA ran the matches at Atterbury.

Now, don't get me wrong. Atterbury was where my father trained before shipping off to England, then having his Golden Lion Division obliterated in the Ardennes. Would have loved to shoot at Atterbury simply due to that fact. But, not at the cost of losing the history of Camp Perry like we have.

BTW, Brandon Green still leads after Day 3, down 4 points total after 180 shots fired.

Brandon Green won the NRA National Highpower Championship 2394-147X.
Ben Cleland has won the Service Rifle Championship with a new record score (according to Emil P) 2386-128X. Optics likely had nothing to do with it.
Konrad Rowers is the High Civilian Service Rifle shooter with a score of 2372-109X
Ronald Zerr is the high civioan match rifle shooter - 2383-126X

For the fellow that asked about my spelling of Atterbury, sorry I left an r out.
Ten-X, did the winners not use scopes?

How have the National Matches been going? I have not attended since it was moved to Indiana. In 2025 I am thinking of looking into some place to stay and using some of my vacation time to attend.

Competitors wishes were to move it back to Perry and let the CMP run it.
Would that then make it not an NRA event? I don't know anything about the CMP aside from the firearms and ammunition sales.

Starting 3 years ago along with the board matches the CMP started running their version of the NRA nationals and has been getting a larger attendance. They've started doing their own classifications and added F-Class. Basically becoming what the NRA is as far as competive shooting on top of what they already did with Service Rifle EIC matches, P100, NTI, etc. They run great matches and people love going there and Camp Perry is a draw. The shooters really don't care who runs the matches they just want the trophies to be awarded at matches where you have attendance that is fitting of a national championship.

Thanks for the info. I have to say that I am not a CMP fan, but that's just me. I will probably just stick with the local matches. I had considered going to Atterbury after not shooting the National Matches for a while.

Since Dennis Johnson retired I've been told the attitude is MUCH better. The matches going back to Perry and being ran by the CMP is a positive. Overall the shooters like that experience much better.

Not to beat on just the CMP, in the last years I have felt increasingly alienated by Highpower Rifle as it now stands, and that includes how the NRA is running things
