25-06AI in 280 AI dies?

Silly question. Could you resize 25-06 AI in 280 AI dies if you swapped out the bushing? Looking at prints it looks like it might work. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it.
Thanks,
Bryant

No real reason why not , only one way to find out. Go slow and easy and see what it feels, and looks like..

If memory serves me correctly, I believe the 280 chambers were of a dimension that would limit the ability of chambering them in either a 30-06 or 25-06 chamber or vice versa. I do not remember the exact difference off the top of my head but the shoulder to base dimensions are different. If the 06 of longer should not be a problem providing you back the shoulder bump back as necessary, if its the other way around you will not get a should bump.

Yep, the 280 shoulder was intentionally pushed out .050" so the ammo would not chamber in the other 06 chambers. So you would need to back the die back this direction in order to not bump the shoulder to far.
