best way to make a wall hanger

I own a deactivated break-top Webley revolver reproduction in .38/200 Webley. Would like to make it a wall hanger decoration.
what would be, in your opinion, the best way to go about it?

I made a wall hanger out of a 1851 Navy Colt that a relative carried in the Civil War.
I made a frame, and covered the field with felt (I used Red).
I then made small brass hooks that supported the revolver at the trigger guard and the barrel and mounted them to the field. This allowed the revolver to be lifted off the frame so it could be handled.

Sorry, no pics, I later took it down because it was valuable, and would be too easy to steal.
