Just picked one of this up. First off I could not chamber a new piece of brass. I tried Alpha nd Lapua. Neither one would chamber. Using a snake camera I saw large burrs on the end of the chamber. This match the deep scratches in both pieces of brass. Used very very very fine emery cloth and removed burrs. Chambers OK now. Also had debris and oil in the barrel. Cleaned it. Shot 3/8 100 yard groups. It is advertised that the trigger will go down to 5 OZ. Not a chance. I got it to 1.5 lbs. Just for the heck of it I removed the spring from the trigger. It was still 1.5 lbs. Send email to Savage, never got a reply. I have to say I am not impressed with their craftsmanship and quality control. There was no way a test round was fired before leaving the factory. FYI my load was 28.9gr Varget with a 107gr Sierra MK and a 7.5 Rem primer seated .010 off the lands.
