As the title says… He needs your prayers and thoughts. For those that know him or bought his rifle cases that would say Prone2Success on the labels etc… you know who he is. He’s 71 now he’s still shooting FTR, and he has shot F Open and Palma and Hi Power rifle over the years.
If we don’t talk on the phone we text each other at times once a week. He was in a bad car accident in Jan. and since then it’s been one thing after another as I had just heard from his daughter tonight finally. She went thru his phone and seeing all my messages asking if he was o.k. etc…she called my phone. The last time I talked to him, he was suppose to go see the doctor for bleeding from one of his kidneys as a result from the accident. Then everything went silent. I called repeatedly and emailed and texted him to no avail. So, I called the police dept in the town where he lives and asked them to do a welfare check. They did and he wasn’t at home. They come to find out he was in the hospital and gave me the hospitals name. I called and got his room number and tried calling several times but he never picked up the phone.
The best news I heard tonight is that either tomorrow or Wednesday his daughters are going to be bringing him back to Northern IL but she said he’s got a long road ahead of him.
I hope to see him at the range again and maybe he will be well enough to come shoot at Lodi this year for the U.S. Champs. That’s my hope at least. His daughter said he has the spirit to go home but he cannot.
So if you know John… he could use a prayer from ya!
