Case Trimmers that index of the Shoulder?

I used a Gracey when I was shooting XTC, the speed helped with the volume we shot. Now, a few F Class and fun matches, I use a Forester 3 in 1 trimmer, works great for my needs.
For large volume the forster power case trimmer for a drill press with the 3 way cutter is very fast. It doesn't index off the shoulder though.

I'm looking to incorporate length trimming into every reloading cycle. Wanted to see who was using what tool and your opinions on them. Loading PPC, Dasher, and BR. Rather not spend 100's of $. What says you? Thanks for input
How many cases at a time? At the range or at home?
I use a kwick case trimmer for say 20 cases shooting 6PPC in a match at the range.

Sort of a side note, but one nice thing about a dedicated, shoulder indexing trimmer is that it helps me cull out brass that shouldn’t be in a given lot.

All my brass from this lot should have already been through this exact same toolhead, and should trim in one second with a barely noticeable “buzz”.

When I come across a piece that takes five seconds to trim, I put it aside. It’s usually somebody else’s Lake City that snuck into my brass bag during a match.

I don’t want it in that lot, and it probably needs primer pocket dressing, etc.

Anyway, the Giraud acts like a custom case Gauge in this respect.

Where could a feller find a kwick case trimmer? The Possum Hollow version seems to have been discontinued. Thanks

Are you sure they are discontinued?

KT-6 is the 6PPC

Are you sure they are discontinued?

Surprised there's only one brief mention of the Henderson Precision Trimmer. I have one and absolutely love it. Indexing off the case base as opposed to the shoulder is absolutely not an issue.

Thats because the OP asked about indexing off the “shoulder”

Perhaps I should have stated it a little bit more concisely. I'll quote my post here:

"Indexing off the case base as opposed to the shoulder is absolutely not an issue."

Jeez!!!

Yep I called him

I ithe lyman
The Giraud Power Trimmer is probably the best and it trims and chamfers in one step. The downside is is expensive and the cost of the case holders add up. You also have to adjust the cutter for different calibers.
I settled on a Lyman Brass Smith Case Trimmer Express for and a K&M adjustable chamfer tool.
The Lyman trimmer comes with a number of bushings and has other bushings available for just about all calibers and is extremely easy to adjust. Tke K&M chamfer tool gives me a perfect inside chamfer every time as it has a rod that goes through the flash hole to guide it. The added benefit to the guide rod is that it assures me that there is no tumbling media stuck in the flash hole. The combo of the Lyman and K&M takes more time than the Giraud but the results are excellent and for a very reasonable price it will work with almost any case. Its hard to get as much versatility in a trimmer/chamfer combo at this price (approx $150 trimmer, $60 chamfer tool)

I trim every firing. I also use the lyman. Im happy with it but i wish I would have purchased anything that is tri-way. Handling the brass again to chamfer sucks. Triway trimmer is my next upgrade.
