Just found out the Freedom Benchrest target is on white paper and has a lighter color circle around the center 10 ring. Otherwise it is the same as the IBS 600 yard target.

That lighter color for the 9 ring might be nicer to possibly see bullet holes. Since all the shooters use optical sights there is no real need for dark colors on the target so those with "peep" sights can bracket the target. Guessing it is a good move.

Never said I wasn't looking to have fun shooting at all matches next year. What part of my question went over your head?

It’s the same target on bright white paper, lighter shade of blue and no square. Somebody thought it would be easier to focus on and see bullet holes. No conspiracy theory, new organization equals new target. You should know there’s only one way to get a fair comparison and that’s to be on the same relay, sitting next to who it is your measuring dicks with.
