New Garmin Xero C1 Radar Chronograph

Saw it last night online at my local Cabela's as limited stock. Drove out there this morning and the guy who helped me could not find it. Said he thinks they only got one in and an employee scooped it up. I will just keep checking the websites to see when more come in somewhere. In the meantime I will just keep using my Magneto Speed to check good loads. Would be a time saver for sure to do both load development and muzzle velocities at once.
Monte, I have a labradar I can sell you. Just Kidding,

If labradar is as aggravating as the PACT unit I had was, I feel sorry for the owners. After building a coffin to put my PACT in as a last ditch attempt for it to work part of the time, it failed. It had already been sent back and supposedly repaired 4 times. I packed it full of tannerite and sent it to where it belonged from the start.

Has any one tested the new garmen to the labradar? I have one on order, I would a field report.
They are within 6fps of each other over 3 20 shot strings. 0.2% difference.

If you're looking for a handy case for the Garmin ... MTM CaseGuard 50 work well, just remove the center.
I just stuck mine in range bag. I have already dropped it and all was good. Not nearly as fragile feeling as the labradar.

I don't own a labradar, but a friend does. It's big and bulky and on a small tripod is questionably stable. Also, it seems critical to get it aimed at the target just right, left to right and up and down. If the Garmin works as advertised it will be a labradar killer, just like the iphone did to the Blackberry gizmo.

Had 2 LabRadars and all the different triggers, but our local range has numerous metal baffles down range as a new school was built about 1/2 mile away. Never could get them to work reliably in my environment and another member had same problem so keep using my Magnetospeed for load development. May try one after they are out for a while.

It has been 20 hrs since I placed my order and they have not sent me an email confirmation or taken the money out of my account. Looks like they are sold out.
Midsouth took my money yesterday on the order I placed on Thursday but no shipping notification.

I really like my Magneto & MK Machining mount ... but I can see it's not going to get much use with the Garmin around.

Just took the Garmin XERO C1 out for a short test session. Worked flawlessly. Had a 24" 22-250 with 40 grain ballistic tips, avg velocity 4149.9 fps. 204 Ruger Encore pistol with 14" bbl, 32 grain V-Max factory ammo, avg velocity 3561.2 fps. Encore rifle 16" bbl, 55 grain ballistic tip, avg velocity 2970.4 fps. 4" S&W 617 .22 LR with 40 grain CCI quiet, avg velocity 579.8 fps. Never missed a shot. Showed up with battery at 70% and took maybe 20 minutes to reach 100% using Iphone wall adapter. Had paired to Iphone and after you end the session, it automatically syncs with phone. Easy to edit session on phone.

Unit has already updated to version 3.11 from 3.06. ShotView app on phone downloaded the update and automatically uploaded to XERO. Then XERO shows a screen allowing you to update. Worked perfectly.

That would be so good to see what pistol and revolver loads are doing too. Thanks for the report.
