Favorite gun/shooting writer

Elmer Keith, Jeff Cooper, and Bob Milek. These three because in the early days of my shooting career, I was primarily a hand gunner engaging in hunting and NRA Precision Pistol (bullseye) and Hunter's Pistol Silhouette competition.

The book, "Six Guns" by Keith is legendary. Milek stories on varmint hunting with an open sight S&W revolver got me started hunting groundhogs in western PA with a revolver. Some of the best hunts I ever had.

Anybody remember my good shooting buddy "Jim Weller" from
back in the early IPSC days ?? He free lanced most of the rags of
the day. I'd get a phone call saying a new rig was just delivered
with free ammo; be at the range in half an hour......

I like the writers in Varmint hunter Mag and PS, prolly same as others named...I have a few Varmint Hunter Magazines and still have my little keychain with the prairie dog on it from 1988 or sometime in there

Jack O'Connor - I grew up reading him, he had the ability to make me feel like I was along on the trips with him. I especially enjoyed his sheep hunting stories.

Ross Seyfried and Terry Weiland - they both make me desire obscure rifles that I had no interest in prior to reading their articles.
