Let's snivel about the heat.

Well, 2 hours on the mower with the climax of sliding into our fishing pond. Shuffled 1/4 mile to the house to get our Kubota RTV to pull it out as my Duramax is in the shop getting an A/C compressor kit. Wife for the first time did not give me a sermon about my driving. Took about 30 minutes to pressure wash it. I'm now in the shop with the A/C on full blast. One of my customers is a brewmaster and brought me some of his German style beer. Don't drink much anymore, but it sure seems like a good thing right now.

Glad you were not hurt. Mowed today here, the wife did it, takes 2 hours too. I was wrenching on my Toyota, have a misfire, needs injectors. Only 85 here today, so I shouldn't complain.

Are you sure you didn't have the beer BEFORE you got on the mower?! ;):D

I too am in AZ, vally area. This time of year my shooting is on pause unless i go north. As a kid i was out way more in this heat. Did not bother me as bad as now, yeah it was hot but was having fun. I know working outside years ago i had at least 1 mild heat stroke. Never went to doctor over it. I hear about people that visit here or new to living hear go on hikes, next thing you know they are dead or being rescued. Guess us locals just know when to take it easy and stay inside. I love winter time better.

96° here today with 80% humidity. Sweating doesn't do a darn thing but get your clothes wet.

My FIL swears by wearing 3 tee-shirts in the summer. Personally I think his time in Vietnam has affected him in subtle ways along with the obvious ones.

It'll be over 100 in a couple of weeks. Humidity will still be at or above 70%. That'll be the norm for 6-8 weeks.
