Any Harvey de-primer fans out there?

I bought one some years back, tried it and returned it. Trying to find the flashole on small Lapua brass took too long and the pin flopping flush on the handle was a nuisance.
But there really isn't any other one made that is compact and fast. I like hand tools for mundane precesses. So I bought another one with a tweak or two in mind and now I am happy with it!
I ordered some caliber specific Lee decapping pins and had them modified for a precise fit to my fired case (6br in pic). Now the decap pin finds home right away. And the 1/2 in. neoprene sponge keeps the pin in right position for loading a new case.

I've had mine for more than 10 years. Use it for everything. Ordered a couple of extra pins and had a machinist friend turn down them down to fit the Lapua small primer hole. Great tool.

Another long-time user here. I hadn't been using brass with small flash holes at the time I originally purchased the unit, but Harvey kindly provided a small flash hole pin to me free of charge, which I appreciated greatly. After years of using it, I don't really have any trouble finding the flash hole with the Harvey tool, but thanks for posting the mod in any event!

Yes Harvey has the .060 pins for Lapua. But the shaft is too skinny for autocenter to my likes.

I have one of the early ones, when either PPC/BR pins weren't available or they were a separate tool - can't recall. Back then FTR was all LRP, plus my 338LM. Worked great. When I wanted a small pin for SRP stuff, they sent me one... but apparently there had been some changes, because the new pins wouldn't fit in the old tool. Never did get it sorted out.

Later (earlier this year) I splurged and got a new one, with the small pin. Works like a champ... but I gotta say... I like the way the angular/faceted edges on the older one fit my hands better than the softer/rounded edges of the new one.

I may not use it for everyday decapping, but it’s a fixture on my bench that I wouldn’t be without. I have @memilanuk to thank for turning me onto it.
