Jesus, I didn’t understand 95% of that. Throw a nice T-bone on the grill for me and do a nice char outside and medium rare throughout and I’m a happy camper.I did a salad of arugula and tuna, topped with Marie Rose sauce, flying fish roe and a caper berry to start pictured). Then half a turkey, the other half of which I spatchcocked and cooked at Tgiving, 3 cheese Daughinoise potatoes, honey/soy glazed parsnips and carrots, a sausage each, oyster stuffing and sprouts tossed in Balsamic vinegar. Christmas pudding flambe with cream to finish. Wines were Manzanilla as an aperitif, bubbles, Cot du Rhone and then some nice Tawney port. I did finish with a slurp of brandy. Turned out pretty well.
You are not alone!I guess I’m one of the few that still goes by dinner and supper.
I need to hear more about this meatloaf pls. sweet pot go into the loaf?Christmas Eve I made my yearly meatloaf* along with corn, butter beans, salad and biscuits. The missus made her top shelf brownies to wash it all down with.
*Christmas meatloaf is a tradition. 3lbs of ground, 1lb of bacon, cornbread stuffing instead of breadcrumbs, seared onions, grated sweet potatoes + a few other goodies.
Christmas Day dinner is usually the full family with the matching spread over at mom's, but supper on Christmas Eve here at home is the one that is the warmest.
