Christmas Dinner....what is on the menu?

We did not travel this year. First year in forever.

Invited a buddy that will be on duty, keeping everybody safe.


Decided on Cornish Game Hens, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, bacon gravy, cranberries, and Texas Toast.

Ham, sausage balls, dressing, potato casserole, marshmallow topped sweet potatoes, rolls, broccoli salad, green beans, fruit salad, deviled eggs, and home cooked cranberries. Chess pie and chocolate cake for dessert. Yum Yum.

Baked ham, rice, potato salad, candied yams, beans, deviled eggs, too many deserts to list, dang I'm full.

Merry Christmas everybody! Rib roast, mashed potatoes (my own recipe with heavy cream and a stick of butter whipped in) and green bean casserole.

I did a salad of arugula and tuna, topped with Marie Rose sauce, flying fish roe and a caper berry to start pictured). Then half a turkey, the other half of which I spatchcocked and cooked at Tgiving, 3 cheese Daughinoise potatoes, honey/soy glazed parsnips and carrots, a sausage each, oyster stuffing and sprouts tossed in Balsamic vinegar. Christmas pudding flambe with cream to finish. Wines were Manzanilla as an aperitif, bubbles, Cot du Rhone and then some nice Tawney port. I did finish with a slurp of brandy. Turned out pretty well.

Chateaubriand venison backstrap, roasted Brussel sprouts with hot pepper flakes and Parmigiano, and some mini quiches. Lots of Christmas cookies for dessert.

Christmas dinner in the land of cotton, usually sometimes around 1 PM because we went to church this morning, consisted of, turkey, ham, smoked venison backstrap, dressing, squash dressing, corn, butterbeans, sweet potato casserole (candied puhkahn style), mac n cheese (the old timey kind), green bean casserole, and just alot of other stuff that I had to pass over because my plate wasnt big enough! When you tell my family to bring something for dinner they over do it. No supper for me tonight. Merry Christmas!

Only 2 of us, so I didn’t overdue it. I made a small baked ham about 3 lbs, mash taters with garlic and chive, sweet corn.

Fried Tamales with Salsa with Egg's Over easy , beans and tortialls....yea oh yea.
Decided to skip the BBQ Lobster Tails this year...It was awesome.
