it might serve a better purpose to give proposed legislators an IQ test before they are allowed to run, but being qualified in some manner has never been a requirement to be a legislator in unfortunately too many cases.

That election has national ramifications. Yes, both parties are offering up some laughable candidates to choose from but once they get to DC, their vote counts the same as the most qualified congressman's. There's enough reason in that one statement to get out of bed and go vote. Sorry. It is what it is.

I would like to say I knew but I was observing the parking lot, NOT the polling place. However, no one raised an eyebrow, likely because they are used to seeing dead people show up to vote here.
