Inside Case Neck Lube

All we need is a list of all the resolved (absolutely resolved, no question) reloading issues for each and every step (including missing or unnecessary steps) in a sticky.
How can something go on for years and years and there are still differing positions?
Something just has to be best.
:)

Kinda like what is the best dog food for your dog , I guess.

This is the shiite.

If we are talking about lube for seating bullets the remaining carbon in the neck is usually enough. If for some reason (cannot think of one) you removed that carbon Imperial Dry neck Lube on a Q-Tip works. You can also work some dry graphite into a bore swab and lube the neck with that.

Record books say things have been changing for the better all along ...
I do what the new guys do !

I didnt revive it. I replied to something someone said, just as you did
I mean, how many times has neck tension been discussed? There are just some topics that are important to people I think. On any given day, there are always “new to reloading” people who will read these topics and learn from them. I think discussing these things is still timely and important. New technologies emerge all the time and perhaps the pros and cons of them should be discussed. Not trying to be rude, or nasty, but I guess the bottom line is, if you don't want to participate in the topic any longer, you don’t have to.

You can probably use the search option and find 5000 discussions on the subject. Yesterday one guy asked what was bumping shoulders he got 36 answers.

Try the search tool first then ask.

If, though, people do not discuss topics, the search tool will not get a whole lot of results. So, if there is a topic that I feel I might have some useful input on, I’m likely going to post, be it an old, or a relatively new topic.

All the post on neck tension and lubing i.d. of necks are repeats posted over ten years. There is no new info. When you get 5000 replies to a question which one do you believe. Personally I would only believe what the national record holders do and ignore all the other so called experts. My loads are good enough for my long range varmint rifles. I never lubed the i.d. of a case except when neck turning. Do any of these guys that post this is what I do ever shoot in nation or regional competition? I asked Tony Boyer a question once and he told me they are internet shooters.

Wow, I am sorry that unless someone is a national champion, their thoughts on a topic are not good enough for you to spend your time looking at. Might I suggest, that perhaps, you just not click to view on any topic that is below you or “Tony Boyer”. I’m not a national champion, but have been shooting since the 60’s and reloading for about 25 years or so. I think that perhaps, I might just have one or two, tidbits of information that other “non national champions” might like to hear.

When you get 50 replies are you supposed to try each one to see which you like? If you do a search you will find at least 500 people asking the same question and giving their experience in just the last few years. Not condemning people that are not competitive shooters, just saying if they are shooting the best scores in the country, they must be doing something that works. I am not ashamed of being a follower of the best. I have been reloading and shooting off a bench since 1970. Own a 6BR and a 6BRX. I did an all time search for neck tension there was about 7000 replies.
