Media knocks Indiana Hero at Mall

This also bring back the topic of insurance for CC, we all never want to use it BUT it's cheap compared to what this guy will be out if he has to defend himself!
This young man probably will never have to defend himself but, if he does a GoFundMe site would raise millions.

The gun control fanatics have taken a hard kick to the groin. Their agenda has taken a severe blow. That’s why you are seeing the whining from the liberal socialist press.

Go Fund Me is too liberal and would take it down. They've done it on several right winged causes.

Go Fund Me kicked this guy to the curb because "they do not raise money for someone that commits murder"

My complete empathy goes out to this young man . He will "SEE" those few split seconds in slow motion for the rest of his life . My hope ; is that he can understand that he did something worth-while , and saved many others lives . I sincerely hope someone near him is wise enough to encourage Counseling , so it doesn't have a negative impact on him for doing the right thing , at the right time . When the cameras and the microphones all go away , He will still have the memories . And they won't go away . Just ask any Combat Vet you are close to .

I was fire department for 35 years (volunteer), 17 of those years as fire chief. I have seen and done things that people shouldn't have to do, I still hear the screams of some, the anger of others and the sadness of the death around us. While I will always remember the many "events" I can say I did what I thought was necessary at the time, while this young man will never be able to forget what happened, he will know in his heart he did the right thing at the right time. May his soul find peace for the rest of his life.

If he does have to defend himself? (Hope he doesn't) the mall where it happened should pay for all his expenses!!

No matter how you look at this..as mentioned earlier taking a life in the name of God and Country
or in this case a maniac with a gun...Its going to be long road for this young man without some
counseling in the months ahead. ( Theres always a price to pay )
Perhaps so perhaps not we can only hope it will not be something that will change his course in life.
I want to believe he has a strong mentality because of how quickly he reacted, when he made the decision to carry, he no doubt made his mind up beforehand of how he would react under the circumstances.
I would look at the parents for the reason he is person that he showed who he is.

Too bad they are too many young people who can't be the same!

Lee

These shootings are horrible, for certain, but this one in particular emphasizes the difference between a kid that was raised with good family involvement and a kid that wasn’t. I finally saw a News piece last night about addressing the teenage Mental Health Crisis. Nothing will change until that is addressed.

Amen. I'm in this position right now. Don't want to derail this thread, but now lawyers are going after fire departments. Some of us are human and feel. While I hope if in that situation I can do exactly as the HERO did, we all must deal with the past right or wrong.

Are we seeing a common denominator here "LAWYERS" and panty waste, ball less judges. Who are mostly "LAWYERS"!!! Its a damn shame those who do a thankless job are attack by those that are totally useless and a drain on society. LAWYERS are not the only problem but its certainly a good place to start house cleaning!!!!

Jesse, That`s why lawyers become politicians so they can drain more from society. Jeff

Maybe I'm the idiot but no one seems to ask what to me seems the obvious question.

If faced with the same situation how do you live with yourself if you don't act?

The kid did it right, that's my judgement.

Adrenaline dump would reduce your senses to the extreme minimum, just enough to focus on your target.
A good thing otherwise nightmares would be a real problem.
Vets may have PTSD due to "walking through" the carnage of of the battlefield.

Washington politicians and media elites live in their own little bubble. They travel the cocktail party circuit and don’t go to malls. Ever once in a while they get zapped back to reality when they encounter something they can’t control but it doesn’t take long to forget.

I hate to say it,but, his worse memories might be the media BS. We`ve seen it before and that kind of crap can drive you wacky. I hope for his sake the story doesn`t have enough agenda for the A-holes and it goes away. In any event GOD bless him. No one knows how many lives he saved.
