Nope, Manson doesn't offer them (maybe they should...)Where does one get the adapter? Something manson has on the shelf as well?
My experience as well. For whatever it's worth I've never had a problem with PTG. I think there are probably others like me, but we only seem to hear the squeaky wheels.
I need to make one of those. Wish i had a nice .250 reamer to put a good hole in itNope, Manson doesn't offer them (maybe they should...)

I don't have a reamer to get a good sliding fit for the 1/4" throaters which is why I didn't just make one.
The adapter is well made with a good sliding fit, and cheap enough.
Uni-throater is nice, but geared for those that don't have a lathe and need to run the reamer by hand. No reason for the extra expense when you've got the machinery...
Are those laps? I've never seen those. I do a little bbl lapping on occasion but have always poured the lap or made it from multiple lead bullets stacked. That actually works pretty well. Just have to keep them lined up. But Those look pretty good. I wonder how they work. Are they expandable? Boy, that'd be nice!Need a tool make a tool. I ordered one because they're cheap but will make one and just lap it to be exact.
Been wanting to play with some barrel laps anyway!

Pour em or cold forge em into a sleeve you bore. Then you can fine tune the size according to how much you bump em upThey're called barrel laps. But not the kind of "barrel" we're talking about here. These are for honing the ID hole.
For "lapping a barrel" - I'd do what you described. Pour some hot lead down the barrel onto a jag, lube it up with some abrasive grease and go at it.
