The sinking of the Moskva: what do we know, and why does it matter?
Russia has acknowledged the ship has sunk but will not say it was hit by a Ukrainian missile
The Russians say an accidental fire set off some munitions and she sunk while attempting to be towed to a safe port at Sevastopol.
So we are to believe that a sailor had a little too much vodka and tossed a cigarette in the wrong place?
Or how about a couple of Neptune Missiles hit her in the sweet spot and broke her back.
Of course, we know that the mighty Russian Navy would never let that happen.
Just like the mighty Russian Army would never let a bunch of amateurs destroy countless numbers of their tanks, armored vehicles and trucks.
If the Captain didn’t go down with his ship, you can bet his next mailing address will be somewhere in Siberia.
Too Bad.
