Hell no, you can do that dumb stuff if you must and risk mistakes but I won't !Or you can say i cant believe anybody would seat a bullet without dumping all their powder and looking in the cases with a light to compare
Charge then seat, one by one.

its pretty simple - for pistol i charge a whole 50 round tray right out of the powder measure. i then take a flashlight and look into all the cases tilting the loading block a little as i do it so i can see the powder well. its obvious if any are not at the same level as the others and to me safer than loading one at a time. thousands of rounds and ive never had a double charge or a squib from no charge. just the way i do itGreat tip.
Never have I understood why reloaders would charge a bunch of cases before seating.
Charge case, seat !
C'mon guys adopt safer reloading practices !
thats how i do itOr you can say i cant believe anybody would seat a bullet without dumping all their powder and looking in the cases with a light to compare
I am sure you already have it but if not the light kit from inline fab is great for looking into cases while loading and when I bought one it was cheap , like $30....using my dillon 550 for 44 mag. - i use a short piece of wood dowel rod - i stick it in the case after powder charging and mark the dowel at case mouth, then i use it as a powder check gage on every round. Its easy to miss one no matter how you do it. Im stopping using the 550 for handgun loads since it doesnt have room for a powder check die, the way i want to set it up. gonna set it up for 223 and go back to the single stage on handgun loads. i see the one - glad you caught this
I'm glad its not your way or the highway, you stay safe as I willHell no, you can do that dumb stuff if you must and risk mistakes but I won't !

Of course I know shite after reloading for 45+ years and since joining AS have seen a # of threads where poor chaps have either hurt themselves or damaged their guns from reloading mistakes.I'm glad its not your way or the highway, you stay safe as I will
I've been reloading for 40+ years myself and all I can say is "WOW"!!!!Of course I know shite after reloading for 45+ years and since joining AS have seen a # of threads where poor chaps have either hurt themselves or damaged their guns from reloading mistakes.
Don't say it can't happen to you and I hope it don't.
Load safe and stay uninjured.
Ouch. I’m sorry to see that gun ruined. Hope you escaped injury.View attachment 1318139Never say never. I have loaded 10’s of thousands of rounds of .38spl on Dillon Square Deal B press. Still not sure how it happened but it happened. Lovely K38 masterpiece to pieces.
I did thankfully. I found this at the range a few weeks later. Could have been a bad way to end the day. This post was about 15 feet from the firing point.Ouch. I’m sorry to see that gun ruined. Hope you escaped injury.
i dont have one of those but ive seen them before. i really should try something like that. — my recent load in 44M when doubled will be rite at the top of case so its obvious but missing one - not so obvious- gotta find a way to check that. thanksI am sure you already have it but if not the light kit from inline fab is great for looking into cases while loading and when I bought one it was cheap , like $30....
wowser— I hope you didnt get hurt- youve just convinced me even more to go the way Ive been planning with my pistol loading. thanksView attachment 1318139Never say never. That's exactly why I use Unique in my 9mms. Much greater margin for error. I shy away from fast burning powders.Great advise for us. I’m currently loading 9mm with 3.7gr of Titegroup. Its very easy to double charge this powder. Titegroup only has a .3 grain range and I’m over charged. I use a flashlight to visually check before seating bullet.
So let's examine your loading technique and find out why.View attachment 1318139Never say never. I have loaded 10’s of thousands of rounds of .38spl on Dillon Square Deal B press. Still not sure how it happened but it happened. Lovely K38 masterpiece to pieces.

I went to your profile and checked some of your other replies for the last year or so. I'm sorry for questioning your procedures. I did not realize you were an expert in so many areas! I think I will just put you on the ignore list and call it a day!So let's examine your loading technique and find out why.
Start with how you bring fired cases to the bench and every step thereafter, regardless of how small it is.
