BLACKBIRD barrel break-in--375 Cheytac Benchrest

Bugholes, Greg Young, of Southern Precision Rifles came over Sunday and he had a first and second shot hit on a 18 inch plate at 1430 yards. Bugholes went 2 for 3 with it. I also had one hit with the cheytac.
I had two hits with my 284 win and Junebug had a first shot hit with the 284 and hour and a half later.

Bugholes smithed the Cheytac

Sunday's carnage on the 1430 yd plate. #3 Cheytac hits, 3 hits by the 284 win, other hits by 338 Lapua and 300 Ultra Mag

Bugholes, Southern Precision Rifles did a wonderful job on the Piercision Rifles brake installation.
can't wait to shoot this thing now with a brake big enough for the job. Maybe Thursday!!!

No visible seam

First time out with the new brake
Zeroed the NF BEAST
First two shots same hole

Next we went up to 1400 yd and my drop chart was right on at 31 MOA. Then Shayne got under the Cheytac and his first shot was a center hit on the 18 in. plate
His smile says it all.

Friday I checked my drop chart at 1400 yards and it was right on at the elevation setting of 31 MOA.
Sunday I went up on Mt Sinai and checked the setting at 2,000 yards. Chart said dial up 55 MOA and it was right on.
Now I will trust my setting when I try to go 3000 yd, hopefully today, and hope I can see splash.

It was a long hike in there so I took Charlie to protect me from Coyote attack. He is my main sidekick and goes everywhere with me.
I bet Charlie would also protect you from any crazy squirrels you might see:)

Birdog, you should bring that thing to Townsend one of these years. We're still trying to find a date for this year that works out.

Tom
I have always wanted to shoot it only the 2000 yd match but also your 1000 IBS match with a fellow named SCHATZ

Such a beautiful rifle, and so capable too!
Would love to see her take on a rockchuck out west perhaps Idaho,Montana,or Colorado from at least a mile out.
