I have plenty of 6.5 bullets but can't help but ask, what's the appeal of the GD 140s ? Is it just because there available where others aren't or are these a specialty bullet for a particular use ? They look like they could be a good hunting bullet based on the description.

I’ve used them for hunting with good success, I don't Use them for long range and typically use a partition when I know shots will be under 400 but I have used GDs too. Bonded bullet that mushrooms well and gets excellent penetration. They are also half the price of many other bonded or well constructed bullets. The appeal is different for everyone but for me I guess it’s part availability and part desirability.

I think you’d be pleased with the results.

They had these on sale quite a while back. I bought 200 of them, at around $11/box. They are a good bullet and I would not hesitate to hunt elk with them. I have shot probably a half dozen deer with them. To me, it seemed like the accuracy went away when the velocity was increased. I load them to 2740 in my creed and they are sub-moa to 400 yards. They penetrate extremely well.
