Colt Trooper MK 111 Rimfire Revolver -- Nice Swap

He had this Trooper MkK 111 in 22 LR, 8 inch barrel. I had an item he wanted that I did not need, (or would never use), so we traded even.

I know “real” Colt guys think the trooper MK 111 is not like the original Trooper, but this is a nice little revolver in perfect condition.

Nice pistol but that title jumps out and reminds me of an old joke.

Lady was driving between towns and picks up another lady hitchhiking. They chit chat a bit. There was a brown paper bag on the seat. After a while the hitchhiker asks the driver whats in the bag. Driver says it's a bottle of wine, I got it for my husband. Hitchhiker chews on this a bit and eventually looks over and says, good trade.

I always kinda thought I was a real colt guy because I owned almost as many of them as S&Ws, but I must not be because I think you came into a real nice revolver. Enjoy it and if you ever get tired of it or become a "real" colt guy and get ashamed of it I will trade you something for it... John

Back in my misspent youth I owned a Trooper MK III in 357 Mag that I carried as a duty weapon. It was the 2nd most consistently accurate production revolver I have ever owned and I've owned quite a few over the years. The most consistently accurate was a Ruger Blackhawk in 357 Mag with a 4⅝" barrel that I bought in 1970.

That thread title is kinda humorous.

I did not mention what he got in the trade, the values in monetary terms was about equal. The main thing is he got rid of something he did not want and got what he wanted, and I got rid of something I did not want and got what I wanted.

Kent, I have had a bunch of revolvers over the years as well... My best shooter was a 6'' 19...
I made many unbelievable shots in front of friends and family with that gun.. Most were unbelievable to me as well !!! Good karma for sure.
