I laughed long and hard when Costco posted notices that they would not accept returns of ANY paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, etc.) during the early days of the Chinese flu pandemic. I know a few folks who thought they were going to make a fortune and now have a lifetime supply of toilet paper.I wish they would finally get tired of buying this stuff and get stuck with it
That is just wrong. People need to calm down and wait for this to pass. Let the profiteers die with their high priced stuff!!!I went to a small show in Port Arthur today. There appeared to be plenty of ammo there if you wanted to pay the price.
12 ga 5 round box of buckshot .....$25
20 round box of 6.5 grendel............$85
20 round box of 6 CM.........................$60
20 round box Federal basic grade 7 Mag....$55
I don't disagree with you. I just shook my head and walked on.Kmart,
Thats wrong. Those guy's are nuts.
there have been some around here - i havent gone because of covid, but ive wanted to go see whats happening and sell a few things for rediculous $--thought of getting a few tables and seeing if i can sell a few safe queens .New Braunfels, TX. Smallish venue, as full of tables/vendors as the socialist distancing mandates will permit. Line to get in, everybody polite and orderly, and not a whole lot of buying. Masks don't cover raised eyebrows though, and I saw plenty, and my own almost cramped up (need to drink more water I guess?).
50-round boxes of plinking-grade .45 ACP: $90
5-round boxes of 12 ga 00 buckshot: $25
20-round boxes of PPU brand .308 Win: $75
100-round boxes of CCI .22 LR 'Mini-Mags': $20
500-rounds of TULA .223: $650 (and I heard a passerby say "If I had the money, I would buy that.")
I may have scored the best bargain of the show when my discerning gaze landed on 7 boxes of Winchester 'Super X' .22 WMR, circa 1980s. Total of 350 rounds, for $60.
These are disturbing times.
I feel the same way. I’ve been doing this since I was 15 years old in late 80's a lot of guy’s own gun shops and sit all weekend trying to make ends meet. They are not getting rich. I usually go for powder, primers, bullets, shotgun reloading and parts. They know me, they know I have boys that are avid shooters. Bench rest, prairie dogs, shotgun and now hand gun. They’ve treated me good. And treated my sons good. I also reload for my dad. Shooting sports has always been big part of our lives. I’m almost 50 and oldest boy will be 30. I’m starting my 5 year old grandson on 22 this summer looking forward to a few gun showsI really have no problems with gun show vendors doing the best they can to make money. The buyers dictate the action for the most part. I enjoy gun shows and score a few deals here and there.
