Couch Potato

I'm a Bill's Fan! Grew up near Buffalo, watched all the games, Love Wings (Sal's Birdland).
Went to Super Bowl 26, Washington (my #2 team) vs Buffalo, on Jan.26th (my birthday).
Watching my #1 &#2 team play in a Super Bowl on my b-day with my best bud (who had a Buffalo Sports TV show) was Awesome!! I also shook hands with Mohmmed Ali !!
To bad it was in Minneapolis (cold as heck) not Miami:cool:

Anchor Bar, and Duff's was our favorite wing stop when headed
for the falls. I met Jack Kemp when I was a youngin'. Him and a
few players hosted our "Punt, Pass, and Kick". Been my team
ever since.

Was in a restaurant supply store yesterday ( store supplies restaurants / not open to public) and a note posted and said limit 5 packs due to "nation wide shortage of wings." Love me some wings.. Crazy times..

Nothing screams commercialism more than Buffalo wings.

Take the cheapest, can't give it away part of a barnyard buzzard, and create a "dish" with it. Before long,it's selling per pound for what breasts go for.

Don't get me wrong, wings are good... heck they're great. But I'm not paying breast/thigh money at the store to be,part of the crowd. No offense to wing guys.

I’ll pay wing prices at the store. They taste about 10 times better than some dried out chicken breast.
The butcher shop I frequent, has the flats at 4.89 lb, and the
drumettes at 3.89 lb. I like to buy the whole wing at 3.49 lb.
As for chicken breasts ?? Yeah, you have to brine em, but rather
grab 5 lbs, of thighs and deep fry em' outside in the turkey fryer.

I have not watched televised sports in years. First I stopped watching football when they started dancing to celebrate some unspectacular event. Baseball when spitting on umps became the rage. Basketball when they started wearing loose-fit knickers (they're for golfers). Nascar when they started using templates, and the "chase" championship. Now I refuse to go to school sports because I'll get locked up for shouting in protest when the little bastards take a knee and turn their backs to the anthem. Yes, it has migrated down to youth sports. SAD.
The cancel culture is not new- I have been doing it for years.

I’m jealous...lol. Publix is the best grocery ever and we don’t have them up here. Every time we travel through a state with Publix my wife and I get those air fried wings.
