.20 Cal information and help

What is your guy's favorite 223 bolt face 20 Cal for a all-around varmint gun

If I could only have one and this is assuming you are loading your own a 20 Practical AKA 20-223 would be my first choice followed closely by a 20-222. If a person wants to buy something off the shelf and shoot factory ammo that only leaves the 204 Ruger which certainly isn't a bad option either.

I just kicked off a 20/222 build this week. Intention is to really play with 32-34gr projectiles, hence didn't feel the need for the larger capacity cases.
Cheers...

Sweet thank you guys for all the information I hope it keeps coming in and I will make up my mind on a caliber

I only have experience with the 204, so thats what i would go for and am impressed with its performance.

I have buddies who shoot p-dogs with me with their Var-Targs, but I can't see going to all that trouble just to knock a couple hundred feet per second off your bullets. On a good day I will spend 6 hours shooting the little buggers with my .204R, but I never shoot with a hot barrel. There is no need.

The VT's are much more efficient, but I'm out there to have fun, not conserve powder, and the little 32's zipping out at over 4K fps are just a little more fun.

If you are loading/shooting high volume, 20P since 223 brass is so common and forming is not much different than just sizing.
