Barrel tuners for F-class Open?

Thanks all, didn’t realise there were so many out there. The only one I had seen in use was a David Tubb I think.
We have different rules here in Australia for F-class, like max calibre is 8mm, brakes are not allowed at all, and new to me that I didn’t realise is that we CAN use a barrel tuner in Open. So that’s why I’m looking.

Cheers.

They all do the same thing, some just look a little sexier than others. I've got an EC tuner and a couple of Ezell tuners, both perform - I do like the fact the EC tuner fits flush with the barrel so it's a bit more deceptive to tell if you're running one.

You could try Matt P for a tuner or somebody at Rosedale club help you MagnumManiac
Thanks Seagull, will be there early next year, so will ask.
My barrels aren’t the normal 1.250” diameter, mine are .950”.
I’ll see what can be done anyway.

Cheers.

Thanks Terry.
Once I talk to a few blokes here I’ll see which direction I’m gonna go in.
Due to COVID lockdown, haven’t had a chance to go and speak to anyone.
Was at Lang Lang range 3 weeks ago and had a chat, but it was just a bit of general chat and nothing specific.

Cheers.

As one possible option, Erik Cortina makes two slightly different tuner models. The version for F-TR rifles with slightly smaller muzzle diameters has markings on the back corner bevel facing toward the shooter. I have a couple of them on F-TR rifles with MTU barrels (0.930" muzzle diameter), so they ought to work just fine with a 0.950" muzzle.

My ftr barrel is machined down to 0.900" then a sleeve has been.put on it to always the fitting of my tuner . There for when the barrel burns out heat sleeve knock of barrel clean up locking agent and put on next barrel and use the same tuner .

Does anyone have a reference to a paper or article or discusses the physics what tuners are doing? I'm looking for more details than a simple explanation that it tunes to a barrel's accuracy node. thx.
