recommended ballistic program for IPhone

I did a search on this and didn’t find anything newer than a couple years old. Since I’m getting ready to try some ballistic IPhone Apps, I wondered what people’s favorites are, before I start installing a bunch of them? Thanks

Update—- Wow — have got a lot of good advice here. I was surprised at the response and I’m now reading through them to take it all in. Thanks Everyone.

I use shooter going out to 1000 yards. It is always within a couple of clicks at 1000

Can’t be beat for the cost

Strelok Pro is good, but so is BallisticsArc, and that one has a nicer interface in a lot of ways. The reticle display in Strelok can be nice though.

I must be strange I have Ballistic AE, the Sierra app, and the Lapua ballistics app. I’ve used all of them at some point but none of them has become my favorite.

Shooter is good. It is getting long in the tooth and almost never updated. Easy to use and good interface. Spot on for most everything. Allows use of banded BC. Support is slow to nonexistent.

BallisticsArc (aka GeoBallistics) is pretty good. Has some new feature and the "Match Mode" is convenient for the stuff I do. It's far from perfect though. You need to build a new rifle for each different ammo a single rifle may be using. I have 3 of the same 22 for 3 different ammo varieties. Changing wind/weather values is harder than it needs to be. They have also not made any real upgrades either. Support emails went unanswered.

Both of these use the JBM math.

I would stay away from AB mobile. It's too expensive and there is too much aerodynamic jump nonsense. No way to easily turn it off other than zeroing your wind value. They swear by it, but I train-wrecked day 1 of national match because of it. I bought a "custom curve" and it didn't do anything different. They do support it, and add frequently to it, but I think it more of an afterthought compared to their Kestrel products. I think this is dumb because the screen, touch-screen interface and processing power of a mobile phone is so much better than a klunky kestrel or garmin.

Plus one on Shooter. It is the only one I know of that will allow you to input multiple BCs. The Applied Ballistic custom curves don't work for me. Try Shooter it is fairly cheap to try it out. You will need to spend some time with it to true it up but there is a learning curve with all of these programs.

I get mine from the ballistic performance of rifle bullets book the third edition from Bryan Litz and they seem to work perfectly
