Lapua rimfire ammo sets 4 new IR 50/50 world records!!!
BREAKING NEWS!!! BREAKING NEWS!!!!

Last weekend at the IR 50/50, 10 Shot, and Unlimited Nationals, 4 new world records were set. The match was held at the Kettlefoot Range in Bristol, Va.

Lapua rimfire ammo was used to set all of these records.

Bruce Hornstein, and Tony K Harper broke the 10-shot 5 target agg. record. The previous record was held by Todd Wooten.

Chuck Morrell, and Daniel Smith broke the 6-gun Unlimited record. The previous record was held by Eddie Bigley.

Congrats to these shooters and thank you Lapua for providing a superior product!!!

Three of the suspects are really no surprise. Bruce, Tony, & Chuck are always at the top of they’re game, & the standings.
And I’ve noticed that Daniel has had a knack of late at the BIG matches. So at least for me, again no surprise!
But Tony really, did you have to mention Lapua? Geez , the good lots hard enough to get already. I have a feeling it just got harder.
Again, congrats to the 4 of you, & Lapua.

Your statement is IMO a little insulting to the shooters who did use Calfee rifles to set these new records. they had 99% to do with shooting those records, the rifles were 1% took the best skill to do it, lets not forget that.

Both are made by the same company, but on different machines and even in different buildings.
Lapua branded is the highest grade they produce. SK is more entry level grade

After reading Calfee's replies to shooters that he had lead to believe he solved the tuner question with a hard rule on how heavy to make them and rules to tune them I have discovered he is full of it. He must be related to the Ringling bros, his self promotion is sickening.

Calfee rifles come up for sale all the time, not hard to find and often no more expensive than some new builds. Anyone wanting one can get one.

There are other builders out there that produce wining rifles, or I should say are capable of wining in the hands of capable shooters. IMO too much is placed on the rifles and not enough on the shooters.

There is a shooter by the name of Bob who is pretty dominant in ARA and he shoots a Suhl I believe.
If you stop look at the shooters and not the rifles they are shooting, I bet you give them a good shooting rifle regardless of who built it, they would still be where they are at.

Something that needs to be understood. a wining rifle or just a good shooting is not just one component. it is a total package. Calfee's rifles are hand built with lapped barrels, blue printed actions, etc. to think you can duplicate what he is doing by simply reading and following what he says, well I think you found out for yourself it is not going to happen.

I understand your feelings but you haven't been privy to the whole picture. Bill hasn't built guns for anybody for years.

Nearly all the guns he built that are still being shot in competition have been modified since he last saw them. Shooters have maintained them and kept them competitive.

What todays Calfee rifle represents is the formula Bill developed to set the standard for all RFBR rifles to come. He did this with his sporters, and his heavy guns. Some respect that, some don't. But it is a fact.

To put this in perspective think of it this way. Today you can buy an original Shelby Cobra, or a kit car that has the same look and performance.

But you (or anybody else) cannot buy a new Calfee spec rifle!

I totally agree, your taking the point out of context.
If someone really believes that BC is the best builder (in there own opinion) and wants a new rifle from him, it's not going to happen unless they have a pedigree.
So the saying Buy once Cry once does not apply.
To see someone discriminate against all other shooters in public, IMHO doesn't help new shooters. That's my view and that's all that was intended, my view is mine and not debatable, you can disagree with it, that's your opinion and I respect that.
I would rather have BC say he is to busy instead of what he said on a public forum. just MHO.
Yes, there are quite a good rimfire Gunsmiths. (again not the point)
