My local gun store is out of CCI 250 large rifle magnums they have a decent supply of many others and this is the first time I’ve seen them out of the CCI primers they usually have plenty of those and the federal 215 M’s are hard to come by now they have at least 10 or 15,000 federal

yeh yeh, you probably think you have all the Varget too but I got a jump on that. Didn’t think about primers. Next time they come available I’ll get plenty. Even if I have to use my wife’s credit card.

It was not all that long ago that the major suppliers were offering incentives to buy product. Free shipping etc. I learned from back in the Clinton years not to hesitate especially when somebody was offering a deal. If all my bills were paid for the necessities and I had some extra coin in my pocket,I was buying. I had mentioned earlier today in another post that prices generally don’t go down and availability seldom goes up and if it does not for very long.Shelflife unlike milk is quite good for everything we use.

WHO ya know also helps that is "in the business". - Tuesday I asked a simple question "Do you know where I can get some small rifle primers" and my "associate" in turn said YES, how many are you looking for ? - I told him 3-5K if possible. - He went to the back & came out with a case of CCI 41's. - I bought them & he told me "there's more when you need them". - And he didn't stick-it to me either.

I wasn't looking for them, but my deal of the year yesterday was when I walked out of Walmart with 1000 lg pistol primers @ a penny each.

LGS usually has thousands in stock, and didn't have any cartons of 450's when I was there a few days ago, nor RP 7.5's either.

The only way to have primers/powder etc. when you need it, is buy it when you don't! Early 90's primer shortage the LGS sold over a million primers here in a town of 30k. the owner told me he probably wouldn't be able to sell another primer in his lifetime...
